and additional features over the TRIAL version. To see the list
of commands and what's new, you are invited to have a look at the latest
manual or read about
some additions later in this page.
Before listing the newest and latest QB2C features, I would like the thank US Internet Technologies, Inc. for hosting and designing the bastoc.com website and their support of QB2C. See them at www.us-it.net for your website and internet dialup needs, they even do custom programming and CGI using QB2C. The latest new features: o Arrays can now be declared dynamically, allowing arrays to be dimensioned during the program execution, as well as resized and erased; NEW commands for this feature are: DIM [DYNAMIC], REDIM and ERASE; o Newly added X-11 graphic commands: XTRAN, XROT, XSCAL, MRESET, XCLOSEDS, XLEN, makes manipulation of graphics output easy without changing a single line of existing code. o window buffering and animation commands available only in QB2C: XBUF, XRMBUF, GET, PUT, XANIM o Newly added other commands: LCASE$, UCASE$, ENVIRON$, DATA, READ, RESTORE, HEX$, OCT$, LOF, DEFSTR, DEFDBL, DEFINT. o SAVEPS, SAVEPSL, SAVEEPS, SAVEGIF - save directly your graphics into Postscript, Encapsulated PostScript or GIF file format. o GET #, PUT #, and LSEEK binary file I/O commands. o X-11 commands for easy
creation, management and deletion of ( simple buttons and input
fields ), from within graphics, that are available only in QB2C o INP and OUT port I/O commands on parallel port (under Linux only); o More flexible syntax of inline IF commands and support for ELSEIF; o Executable programs written
in QB2C have access to individual (tokenized) input parameters not only
to the whole input line (via the COMMAND$ command): when a program is
started there is a special string array which contains tokenized input
parameters; and the parameter count. o More detailed documentation
in both ASCII (TXT) and HTML formats: (manual.txt), (manual.html o Most important X-fonts used with XTEXT command now have predefined names, so programmers no longer need to know the full parameters of a particular font. Only a generic font name and size are required. o More programming examples, especially for new graphics capabilities; (examples); o A new support website, www.bastoc.com with a forum coming soon. o Removed all known bugs from previous versions. AND last but not least: I thank to numerous people around the world who have kindly sent me their bug reports and suggestions.
